God's Hand

*God’s Hand*

Walk through the garden of light

Where flowers bloom in the night.

Walk past the river

Where it moves in a sliver.

Walk past the tower

Where at the top it has a flower.

Look at the beauty of the land

Reach out for God’s hand.

Smile at the face of God

But does anything feel odd?

Do you know where you are?

You are in the place of God.

Look down at the river again

Watch it move in its sliver.

Is God not at work here?

God will pick you up someday

But for now you must go away.

Awake from this happy place

With angels dancing around your face.

Fall through the clouds

And land back in your body.

It is not your time yet

But you will get there someday.

All because of God’s Hand.

Shadow Bounty Hunter

Shadow Bounty Hunter

Every night at ten

A shadow moves within.

The kids are sleeping

The parents are going.

But still a shadow moves within.

The shadow is full of hatred

And greed is nothing to it.

It lurks up the stairs

And into the kid’s room.

When he stares them down.

He leaves them with nightmares.

Now as the shadow moves away,

One kid jumps up.

He catches sight of the moving shadow

And never wants to again.

Snow up on your knees

Snow up on your knees

When you walk out into the brisk morning air,

And you give a shiver because its not there.

You stare at the white covered ground.

A gasp escapes you mouth,

And the air touches your cheek like God touches your heart.

You run back inside and shut the door,

Your kids are awake so back out the door.

You play and build snowmen,

But when the snow gets to deep,

You call your kids in.

You make hot chocolate for your family,

Than go watch the snow fall.

Faster, faster, faster it falls,

But you grow slowly colder.

Snow, snow, up past your knees.

Snow, snow, up on your knees.

You give a big sigh,

As the house gets cold.

You head back to bed,

Thinking that you need more warmth.

And silently you fall back to sleep.

Snowy Happenings

Sorry I have not been posting here, It has been hard to think of poems... but here is one.

Snowy Happenings

When the wind blows

and white flurries fall.

You know its snow.

When the kids are screaming

And sleds go zipping by.

You know its snow.

When a snowball kisses your cheek

And your hands are numb.

You know its snow.

When your mother calls you in

And you smell hot chocolate.

You know its snow.

When you’re sitting around a tree

And opening well wrapped boxes.

You know its Christmas.

Life Alone

Life Alone

Standing here
I will see why.
An outcast
Standing in the shadows.
My clothes are mucky
My hair is mangled.
Watch as the people pass me by
My family, my friends
All walk right by me.
No one to give a care
No one to dare.
I sit alone
In this mucky shadow.
No one ever, ever goes near here.
I watch the sunset.
It will be dark soon.
A hand outstretches
And a soft voice says,
“I am your family.”

Dedicated to my mother, she is the best in the world!

Love you mom!

:::Last Breath, In a cloudy surrounding:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Lay down here
In this area surrounded by dark clouds.
Take a few more steps
There you go.
You’re on the right track
now stay on it and lay.
Look for the third start to the right
Not there?
To many clouds.
Look for the name sleepy hollow
Not there either?
The clouds touch the ground.
Oh what a shame
Everything you look for is gone.
Take a deep breath
It may be your last.
Look at your map
look for Eldorado
Not in the map?
The clouds consume the map.
You are now being encased
By black clouds of hell.
A light breaks through
you take a deep breath.
You are lifted up to heaven.
None of those places are real
But the one you are going to
Is very real indeed
.

:::Cold Breeze:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::

walk this uncharted land
All by your self.
A cold breeze
Brushes your face.
Every memory is being left behind.
You step one step to far
A cold breeze brushes your face.
You fall through thin ice
still cold air hits your face.
You scream
But nothing comes out.
You know this is your end
But you don’t want to leave your body.
Then you leave
Leave forever,
With more regrets then you had when you were alive.
You left behind
The ones you love.

(Note from the writer.) At the end of this poem, I found myself stuck. Dang didn't sound right... So I cursed. Do not judge me! Don't tell me you never cursed!

:::Lonely Man:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am one person
Walking this lonely land.
I am alone
No one can stop me.
I walk down a deserted city
Lost to a sandstorm.
Lifeless bodies
Cover the ground.
They are sad
They wished they made the right choices.
I walk alone
With my regrets.
Something I should have done
Lost to the ash.
I walk a lonely path
Toward my final resting place.
The sea is where I must be.
But something calls me back
For my regret is too hard.
I turn around
And see,
The lifeless city
I left behind.
The last thing I thought
Was

“Damn my regrets!”

:::A Wanting Eye:::
::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::

Something watches as you eat
A gleam in its eye,
Such a treat.
You do not see it
Or hear it breath.
It watches you.
It waits
For that hotdog
Covered in ketchup
To slip out of your hand.
The thing moves into the room
Still not seen.
It sits at your feet
watches you eat.
You look down
Now don’t scream
The thing that watches you
is a sweet little dog
That watches you eat.

:::Blizzard:::
:::::::::::::::::::

A cold winter night
Rain, snow, sleet, hail
All come in this one night.
People sit inside their homes
Bundled up tight.
Sitting and watching
This marvelous sight.
Wind starts to roar
Lightning starts its dance
Thunder starts to play.
Oh what a clash.
Elements of heaven
Elements of hell
All clash in this one blizzard.
As though lifeless men take out their swords
And battle away all their sin.
Snow covers this land
Ice freezes many
Hail breaks few.
People scream as the place starts to flood.
The water will freeze before dawn.
Now it is over
You may want to boast
If you have lived through this hell of a storm.

A Shadow

:::A Shadow:::
::::::::::::::::::::::

Look to the sky
See the sights.
Of a thousand stars
And a hundred lights.
The circle in the sky
Is the only light
That is so bright.
It reflects from the great fireball
To bring us light at night.
Suddenly a cloud passes over
And covers the moon.
It is pitch black outside.
Stars go out of sight
night becomes the darkest hour.
A shadow falls
From the sky.
It has no wings
No cheap trick.
It moves across the fields
And catches you at bad hours.
It is pure guilt
You see?
It stalks you till you are no more.
Believe me
This is no kid’s tale.
The shadow itself is you
And your guilt
.

:::A Dark Storm:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The sky is full of sunshine
Not a cloud insight.
Then a big black cloud all heavy with rain
Moves over the little house.
People run outside their doors
To look at the big black clouds.
Such a sight
It was day
Now it looks like night.
Little children duck under their blankets
Parents open their windows
And have a good time watching the storm move closer.
A clap of thunder
A gush of wind,
The parents come to their senses.
They rush their kids
Out of bed and into the basement.
Winds gush
Hail bursts
thunder roars.
The storm ends
all is well.
But not for most of this little town.
Ruin is what turned out.
Houses gone
To Katrina.

Falling into Empty Waters

:::Falling Into Empty Waters:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I slip off a mountaintop;
And plummet to a rushing death.
I wait to see the light
I don’t scream.
I am not afraid of death;
too much.
I wait until suddenly
my face hits water.
My body is sucked under
I can breath.
I watch fish swim by
I am still falling slowly.
Sharks and whales pay no attention to me
I am in a nice place.
When every thing goes dark
only one thing is visible.
A little light moving quickly.
Finally my feet land on the bottom of this empty water.
A hand appears in front of me.
I look at the face
To my surprise
My brother stands there.
I go to take his hand
When a rush of water pushes me.
I try to swim for his outstretched hand.
I am nothing to the water.
I am tossed and turned.
Then I am falling out of the sky.
I look down
There is a face I never got to see.
My sister is skipping to a cliffs edge
and I am next to her?
But I am up here
not down there.
I hit myself as I fall.
Now we are one
Falling again.
I hit the yucky water
dropping deeper and deeper still.
I can’t breath this time.
I hit the bottom of these empty waters.
I fall to my knees gasping for air.
My brother stands in front of me
His hand outstretched.
I take it
My breathing starts up again.
I look around
Not a sound.
I am alone again;
lying in my bed.
Crying.
How I got in my bed I do not know,
all I do know
Is that words are floating to my mind.
In what I imagine my brothers voice would be.
“I love you brother.”
:::Streaming Waters:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Last time I saw this
I was no more than two.
I stand here now
watching it move.
Someone stands down at the edge
with long hair
and a shadow of an angel.
I look away
then look back;
He is gone.
I wait to see
if he comes back
But he never does
and never will.
The water moves slower now;
a new face lurks around.
A young girl
No more than five.
I watch her play at the waterside.
The man is back again.
He is playing alongside her
His face is alight.
The girl runs into the water
And never comes back up.
The man looks at me;
I at him.
It is my brother I see.
He smiles and follows our sister.
Never coming back.
His last words before he left
was a simple little sentence.
“We will wait for you at heavens gates.”
I watch the river move,
with tears in my eyes.
My brother
My sister.
Both are gone, at birth.
I watch the river
All was well
But then I ran
And jumped in too
I started to drowned
But my brother saved me.
He said something
That stuck with me ever since.
“Your time isn’t up until it is up.”
I wrote this poem for my brother and sister, who died at birth.
If they had lived I would be a middle child.
I miss them, but up in heaven they are safe from humans sin.

:::Your Regret:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::

My hand is outstretched
You just stand there.
His hand is outstretched.
You still just stand there.
Destiny is calling
But you won’t answer.
His face and mine are straight
Yours is confused.
I look at your eyes
And see tears.
He looks at your eyes
And sees you as meat.
Your face looks at him
His muscles and his nice smooth hair.
While I am just a man
That has not found himself.
You make to move
But still stand.
Light shines behind me
Fire behind him.
Horns start to grow
From atop his head.
Wings flutter behind my back.
Your stare at him
But then stare at me.
You then take my hand.
The man that stood with flames
Now burns in them.
My Wings go back into my body.
And now I have found my place

As have you.

:::Come Home:::
:::::::::::::::::::::::::

A heavy rhyme
With a steady beat.
The heart burns
For this one word.
The sound of grace
The sound of love.
Beat slowly
But stay seated.
The heart is a big maze
Hard to control.
Every little thing enters its doors
Evil, good, light, hope.
The heart burns for a single word
But our world fades.
Flame bursts inside
A steady beat starts to die.
The heart burns
And no one answers.
Darkness all around
Till you turn to look.
You see a light
It is God you see.
Your heart stops.
The words have been spoken
And your heart is at rest.
Those words are simply
“Come home.”

:::A hearts chambers:::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

A heart has many chambers
And only a fool would hide away from them.
Only a fool would run from these wonderful chambers.
One holds your love
For those you hold close as a dove.
One has many secrets that we hold
But it never lets them get old.
It nags at us with everything it’s got
Until it becomes too hot.
One chamber to the left is a good one
It allows you to speak in just the right tone.
Remember this as though it was I
Who showed you this with your own eye.
But yet it is not true
You already knew.
About these chambers light
Now rest your head and say goodnight.
The hearts chambers
Oh what a sight.
The best one is the one you see at night.
It opens up
And you go through.
Dreams are hidden here
Now listen again you need to hear.
About the heart, And its many chambers
